unusual yellow bird

First saw two of these birds sitting on short fence behind house, by time I got the camera one had flown off so I took a few pics of the remaining bird. I'm thinking possibly a female tanager or oriole but it doesn't seem to quite fit either so thought I might see if someone here could help.

This was taken in South Dent County, south of Salem, Missouri in the Ozarks (about halfway between St Louis and Springfield)

Thanks, Docia
