Yellow Bird with Orange Face in Redondo Beach

this morning I saw two very brightly colored yellow birds in my bottlebrush tree. Both of them had yellow heads and bodies along with black/brown wings and white highlights.

One of the birds (in the photo) had an orange face. Any ideas?
