Yellow and red pigeon sized bird

by Linda
(Puyallup, WA)

Puyallup, Washington- pigeon-sized bird with bright yellow body and vivid red feathers surrounding the face and on the throat. It also has longish tail feathers, not parrot or macaw-like but rounded. There were two of these birds in the fife heights area june 6th. Any ideas what they might be? I've never seen anything like them before.
