Woodpeckers and Mating Season

I have a pileated woodpecker attracted to my kitchen window. He occasionally does drum on it but mostly just looks at his reflection and I'm guessing it's a mating season routine. Has anyone else had a woodpecker attracted to their window?



Marcia, I think that is exactly what he is doing; looking at himself in the mirror, for assurance that he is very desirable for the ladies...
