wondering

A robin sized or bigger bird has been around for a week in my backyard in western Washington State. In fact it looks rather like a robin except it's tail is white. It has orange on it's abdomen but it's breast is mainly white. Robin-like yellow beak, with black on white markings on it's head and grey/black shoulders. Very strange. It looks rather like a robin that got splashed with bleach. i have never seen a bird like this before. Sorry couldn't get a good picture.

Leucistic robin NEW
by: Mary

I am pretty sure that what I am seeing is a leucistic robin. I was not aware of this phenomenon in the past and now I am wondering how common it is. Anyone know?

Small dusky or dark gray bird, 3 to 4 inches, with a fan shaped tail. The tail had 2 yellow triangle markings, which were about 3/4 to 1 inch each.
