Wild Birds instill Courage

by Fred
(Ohio)

I have always looked to nature and the birds for encouragement. If you watch these amazing creatures you soon learn that they are extremely tough little creatures. I have always looked to nature for courage to live day to day.

I use to sit and just admire the wild birds and the plants even if it was only for 5 minutes or so. I would do this right before football practice/games and sometimes after work or just before work. You see Birds just seem to be so small but if you watch them sitting there in the snow, rain and the cold driving wind, it is simply amazing that they can just sit there and take what nature dishes out to them. They have always been a source` for courage for me. You know our life is pretty darn easy compared to nature. So when it comes to times when it takes courage to carry on in my daily life I just think about that little chickadee out there sitting and taking all that wrath that nature dishes out to them. I just get up and carry on the best that I can.
