wild bird

(richland hills, tx.)

This bird comes in flocks of 50 to 100. It is about the same size as a cardinal. It walks rather rather than hops. It has short black beak. it is brown on top with a square tail. The breast is buff with brown strips running almost to the tail. It has a yellow strip above each eye. It feeds on bird seed that I put out.
