who are these hungry little chubbies

Short tail; long beak; never solo always in a group of at least a dozen; loves frozen apples; very shy

They are starlings.

We thought starlings but have only seen the summer ones around here....no one in town knew what thses fellows were....oh great.

Starlings are often considered a nuisance bird. They travel in large flocks and can clean out a bird feeder in no time.
