My wife and I love our hummingbirds. We wonder where they go in the fall and winter? Where do the north Idaho hummingbirds winter?
Comment
Some hummingbirds in your area, such as the Broad-Tailed, Rufous, Calliope, and Black-chinned, stray eastward and winter in the southern Gulf states.
Many continue further south and winter in Mexico and Panama. It is goodbye to summer, when the last hummingbird forsakes our frost-nipped, northern gardens for happier hunting grounds far away.
Enjoy,
Susan
