When will the eggs hatch?

by Scott
(Martinez, Ca )

I have a pair sitting on eggs, but it has been about a month and no sign of babies. Wonder how long pair waits before giving up or trying again?

Good question Scott. Readers have told us they have had doves sit on the nest for as long as 6 weeks before giving up!

Are there any eggs??
by: Randy

I also have a Dove sitting in a nest on top of a pile of pop cans. She has been there a long time and I haven't seen her leave the nest or any other Dove come to feed her. I thought maybe she was dead but she did move a bit as I approached the nest. Should I make her leave so she will get food for herself and maybe find another mate?
