Hi, fist of all we would need to know if it looks like a duck or a bird. I'm guessing you are asking about a bird but you'd be surprised at some of the questions we receive.

I live in the Pacific Northwest and the starlings here don't have what I would call orange feet, their feet are generally the same color as their beak.

Starlings flock together and are iridescent, depending on the light they could look black.

Can you tell us how large your bird is, where you live, and what the bird was doing? Or you can do an online search for a picture of a starling.
