That handsome bird is a Cedar Waxwing. Few of our birds are so handsomely dressed. They like to feed on cedar and juniper berries, chokecherries, dogwood and woodbine berries, elder and other small wild fruits on which they greedily feed. A good way to invite them to your yard is to plant berry bearing trees and shrubs.
