What sort of pigeon is this?

Note the neck and the feet

It looks like a pigeon is completely white with a beige brown back and center of the tail. Has short feather on its feet (stockings). And a little extra feather on its neck (collar) which gives a look of a spikey haircut.

This smarty flew into my balcony and refuses to leave. We have decided to keep it. Would greatly appreciate if anyone can tell me what kind of bird this is so that we can take care of it accordingly.

Bg info : i stay in the U.A.E. in the middle east. And it is not rare to find exotic pets given the lavish lifestyle the natives live.

Thank you.

Pigeons and Doves need grain... NEW
by: Margaret Mariam

...and a little bit of gravel, in their diet. Now in the Northeast (USA) I give them sunflower seeds for extra fat in the winter, but otherwise almost any wild bird seed, or pet bird seed, will be gratefully eaten. And in time, if you move slowly, and give it time to get to know you. It will eat from your hand. I'm not sure why pigeons trust people. In most cases, they shouldn't. But it feels special when they do. Your bird belongs/belonged to someone. Is there a band on its leg ? If so, the numbers and letters will let you trace the breeder. And the breeder may be able to let you contact the owner.

Enjoy your guest.
