What kind of blue bird

A pair of blue birds were on bush across street. One struggled to climb up then fell to ground. Both flew across street low to ground. All deep blue with gray band over back and also on breast. Did not look like blue jay. Can not describe voice but it was low.

Found pecking at the ground. What stood out the most was its white beak with a horizontAL stripe of yellow. Its body was black and white flecks.

We moved last year from Nashville to 20 miles west of the city. Was delighted to have 3 rose breasted grosbeaks at our feeder the other day (Apr 20, 2018)
