Thank you for your answer, I have never seen a robin in my backyard look like this, with only orange on the neck and such a small pointed beak. Are there different types of robins?

I love it when I can identify a bird - this one is easy peasy - it's a robin and really rather common - though I forgot to look where you are. In Europe, it's one of the commonest garden birds.
