What is this bird?

Dull olive brown upper body. coal black wing with one very bright white bar. About 5 inches long. Slim body. No cap.

what bird is this?

Hi, without knowing any more of the details, I'm, thinking it would be a female goldfinch or a female Lesser Goldfinch. Type "picture of" these species into your search bar and see if any look like it if not there are some sites you can use to find it. AllAboutBirds.org,
