On our vertical sunflower seed feeder

outside Chicago, IL
robin-sized, plump, with short tail
dark brown back and head, black belly, sides and chest with white dots
long beak
pink legs and feet

It's a common Starling. They often are in large flocks and can be a nuisance at the feeders.
