New York City NEW

I live in Harlem and I saw 1 of these things on my fire escape about 2 weeks ago (at night) and subsequently another one yesterday (during the day). The first time, it scared the living daylights out of me because:

1) It was dark out and I could barely see it until it moved ever so slightly.

2) I could have sworn that it had red eyes.

3) It was HUGE and when it spread its wings it must have been about 5 feet in length.

The second time I wasn't so scared, but intrigued. I took some video of it before it flew away. I'm a native New Yorker and don't typically see birds like these but I'll admit, they're beautiful animals.
