We had a new backyard visitor this past weekend.He was so different I had to look it up in my bird book.Ive saw him only 4 times and its been early morning. He was eating sunflower seeds,and a fruit and nut seed cake then took a dip in our birdbath. Im from tennessee so looking them up he is migrating during this time an wont be around for summer. Very happy to see him even if its for a short time.

I have identified the yellow shafted flicker in my backyard . We have several of them feeding on the lawn. It looks like they are pulling out grubs.
