Unusual baby bird Dallas TX area

by Terry S
(Dallas, TX)

It's a small, young, brown with some lighter area on it's head baby bird. I have not seen the underside. It has a hooked small beak and a wing span way too big (7-9") for a probable body of about 3 maybe 3-1/2" body length. I didn't see any longer feathers at the ends of the wings when they were full spread. When it sits clutching a wall with it's wings folded, they are a good 1-1/2 to 2" longer than it's body. Sorry no pictures available. Any suggestions??
