Unknown Bird on my bird feeders.

I live in Dorset in the UK and Two days ago my husband called me from the kitchen to come and look at a strange bird that neither of us had ever seen before. we tried to catch it on the camera but as we cannot open the window wide enough or quickly enough as it open upwards, the photo did not show the birds in the tree through the glass. Just now another bird came which I can only assume is the other one's mate and it is a slightly darker colour with a a fawn coloured breast and white on it's wings and also the brown patches. They were both about seven inches in length. My Granddaughter has just come and was also really surprised and managed to take a few photos with my Iphone but had to hurry back to her work. Unfortunately at this moment I cannot find how to download the photos but will ask my Daughter when she next comes if she can help. I am elderly and do not know much about computers.
