Unidentified Tiny Fledging

Please help! A friend's cat brought in a tiny fledging for lunch. Can you help identify it? It has very yellow feathers, and a long beak. We live in Cape Town, far from the beaches, but on the coast nevertheless :) any tips on what to feed it and how often would be great as I would love to give this little guy a fighting chance.

kind of looks like a hummingbird to me NEW

I am far from an expert on young bird . . but you have a very very tiny bird there and the only thing that pops into my head is a hummingbird. I do not know what kind of hummingbirds are native to your area but I would start by doing a search for hummingbird hatchlings and go from there.
