Type of Baby Bird?

by Donna
(Niagara Region, Ontario, Canada)

We found a baby bird on our deck this afternoon and were really surprised considering it is November. It has:

a brown body and grey wings
It has a white body
It has a black "mask" around its eyes
It has a yellow stripe across its tail feathers

We checked on it and it appears to be stunned. It is breathing quickly and is not vocalizing. When we attempting to pick it up, it moved away from us so we don't think its wings are hurt.

Any ideas what it is?

From your description I am fairly sure it's a Cedar Waxwing.
