Trying to identify small dark bird of 4 inches with a all green surrounded by yellow line

by David Rouse

I was in Austin Texas at a Walgreens one evening and found this tiny never before seen bird. I picked it up and put it in a handerchief in my trucks door.

It had apparently struck a window and a cat was trolling about.

It was tiny not much bigger than a hummingbird and had a dark slender body.

It had a beautiful green if memory serves me correctly v shaped bib with I believe a yellow thin line surrounding this it was very dimuntive and beautiful.

It became alert a short while after I got home a few blocks from the Walgreens I let it get its senses for a few minutes then it flew away.

I have always been curious what it was this curiosity started with identifying my gregarious little troup of Carolina Wrens that have entered my house each year through open windows and tried to dominate my house.
