Too many new dark birds.

I'm in Michigan in January. I have a new BIG flock of dark birds. They have taken over the bird feeders for three days now. Cowbirds maybe? Do I just stop putting food out? What about my regulars, bluejays, cardinals, chickadees, etc.? These guys are not easily spooked. It's a Hitchcock Movie!

I also have too many dark birds (Memphis) but I am sure they are migrating. Mine are starlings. Nothing to do but wait them out. They come every year and stay for about a week to 10 days. They are a bother, but we still manage to cope with them. I am also bombarded with robins. They do the same thing.
Good luck through the wait.
