TN bird

I saw a pair of birds today, but did not recognize them. I did not have a camera.

the upper part of their body was black and their breast/underpants were white. No striations. They were about 5 inches long. There getting seeds from the Bradford Pear. I can't seem to locate any pictures on the internet.
I hope you can help.

You might check the slate colored junco. They look almost black and are seed, ground feeders. I have them all winter in Ohio. A favorite!
