tiny yellow bellied bird

im near the gulf of mexico in the US. this bird just recently laid a nest near my window. i looked all over the web with no identification. this bird is very small, 2" wide maybe less, it has a yellow belly and a brownish body with 2 white stripes on its wing. it also has a red strip on the top of its head not very noticeable tho. not a common bird seen in texas. Any clue? ill try to catch a picture

This may be a ruby crowned kinglet. We have them at our winter feeders in San Antonio. The male has the red stripe on its head & he ruffles it up when agitated.

the main characteristic is the red stripe on his head, it has become much more bright and the yellow seems to be going away to a lighter color

Perhaps a Yellow bellied Flycatcher?
They are around 4" long so SMALL
