I noticed two male and one female Rose Breasted Gross Beaks at my feeder this morning. They come to our feeders every year on the week of Mother's Day. This has been happening for more than 10 years like clockwork. We put out a feeder with Safflower seed in it just for them about a week before Mother's Day. They seem to really enjoy that seed over the mixed seed we have in our other feeders.
One of the males was feeding the other male so I am assuming one was a young Grosbeak. It's too bad they only stay in our yard for a week or two because we enjoy watching them. I am thankful that we get to see them at all....even if it's only for a week or so.
