They Love It Suet

by Jean P.
(Washburn, Maine)

Ingredients:

1 cup crunchy peanut butter
1 cup bacon grease
2 cups quick cooking oats
2 cups cornmeal
1/3 (or a little more if you like)sugar or 1/4cup honey
1 cup flour

Procedure:

Melt bacon grease and peanut butter in microwave. Stir in remaining ingredients. Pour into suet containers or any kind of mold. Place in the freezer until frozen and hard. I use onion net bags for the small birds. I also sometimes mix in about 1 cup or so of birdseed before freezing for variety.
