A very large hawk perched on a low tree branch in our tiny back yard in Toronto......it was huge, about 24 inches tall with a smallish head.....it could have been a red -tailed hawk except that is was grey......very pale....almost like a ghost! It was about 5 feet away so we got a clear look....it stared at us for a least 5 minutes before it flew away! We were standing in the garage so we couldn't check out the wingspan.....I have never seen such a big hawk! Anybody know what I saw?
