strange water bird in oakville pond

by Brynn
(Oakville, Ontario)

I was walking around the local pond in Oakville when I saw what looked like a duck but it wasn't it was very small, and it kept on dunking under the water. I don't know what it is. Sorry I don't have a photo but maybe, just maybe you could identify this strange bird.
