We live in Ottawa, Ontario Canada. We have a female yellow-bellied sapsucker visiting our suet feeder. She started coming about a week ago and stayed about an hour and a half at the feeder today (January 20, 2014). Apparently, this is the latest siting of a YBSS in our area. It has been and will be very cold here (Ottawa winter), so we're worried she won't survive the winter. We're going to try to make a place for her to keep warm at night. She is absolutely beautiful.
