When I was ready to take my Winter wreath off my front door,I got a beautiful Spring surprise! A Mourning dove was perched on the top of the wreath in a nest. I have seen father and mother taking turns sitting on the nest. They have had babies. I think their are two. One has hatched. They are devoted parents! I am thrilled that I was blessed with these doves at my door. They have very special significant meaning when they encounter you. Such a wonderful sight to behold! I have uploaded pics. Enjoy!

Found pecking at the ground. What stood out the most was its white beak with a horizontAL stripe of yellow. Its body was black and white flecks.

We moved last year from Nashville to 20 miles west of the city. Was delighted to have 3 rose breasted grosbeaks at our feeder the other day (Apr 20, 2018)
