South Carolina spotting on Cinco de Mayo

I had a male, probably migratory rose breasted grosbeak in my feeder and also my suet block yesterday. Having been a bird watcher for decades, it was a THRILL!. I had only seen one before in the U P of Michigan before. Could not get to camera as my dinner company came and scared him off right after I spotted him. He stayed about 2 minutes.


My boxed feeder has a mixture of finch food and sunflower seeds. The suet was fruits and seeds. He seemed to enjoy both!
