Solid Dusky live green towhee type bird

Solid Dusky live green towhee type bird

These birds are shaped like the California Towhee.. but are solid dusky olive green all over lighter dusky olive green on chest with darker olive spots around neck and chest, seenin forest like setting near Lake at a botanical gardens in So. California. Any ideas?

From that angle it almost looks like female shinycowbirds with a little green mixed in. I know the males are shiny black with a green tint. Sorry I'm not any help, but they're look like cowbirds to me, at least in that particular picture
