SMALL GREY BIRD

IN A FLOCK OF SOME FIFTY BIRDS IN EXETER, CALIFORNIA. THE BIRDS WERE SOLID GREY WITH A SMALL (1/4 INCH) ORANGE TIP ON WINGS AND A WHITE 1/2 INCH BAND NEAR THE END OF TAIL. THEY WERE FAST AND CAME IN TO MY BIRDBATH LIKE SWALLOWS. THEY PAID NO ATTENTION TO MY WILD BIRD FEEDERS.

    A relative went to HB class. They found it is safe and more effective to use 2 water to 1 sugar. I use 4 cups of boiling water into 2 cups sugar.
