Small dark color bird, lighter belly, peaked crest, North Texas

by Cathy
(Wylie, Texas, in north central texas (DFW) area)

Seen in DFW area in Texas:

Small flock of very small birds with dark (looked black to me) body with lighter shade on belly. Looked like head (also probably black) had peaked crown. Sorry I had no camera, just noticed them in backyard. Would appreciate help identifying.
