I've seen this for 2 years now...this small fuzzy bird perches in the corner of my front porch, mostly in early winter. He is back now 12/8/13.

Brown Fuzzy Bird Perched in my corner also
by: Tyrone

Okay, for a week or so, I have noticed what looked to be bird droppings on my vehicles while under the carport. After walking my dog this morning at around 5AMish, I noticed droppings at my door step where I enter my home and so did my dog. So I let my dog in the house and I go in and come back out and look right over my door and there is a little brown fuzzy thing perched over my door... (I did not know if it was a bird because it was so fuzzy) so I quickly closed my front door and got a long broom. I thought because it did not move from me going in and out of the house that it may be injured or dead. I reached at it with the broom and that thing scared the crap out of me. It flew very close over my head, pooped on my wife's truck, I think it tried to get me but it missed... I guess I scared the crap out of it too (literally) LOL. That was a bit too much action for me at 5AM in the morning, while still dark outside. I am wondering now what kind of bird was it. That's how I found this site and your comment. It looked VERY MUCH like a Kiwi. But I don't think Kiwi Birds fly. I live in Florida. What kind of Bird do you think this is? Or is it a Bird at all? Or is a Bat?
