Saw 2 today flitting from tree to tree. Color was a very bright yellow/green depending on how the sun hit. longer skinny bill than most small birds (not a hummingbird)like a lot of warblers, though it could be one based on other sites I have checked. No chance for a photo. Never have seen one in this area before (north of dallas tx).

I have identified the yellow shafted flicker in my backyard . We have several of them feeding on the lawn. It looks like they are pulling out grubs.
