simiar to american robin but with white breast

by george
(washington, dc)

I saw a pair in Washington , DC, in late april. Black head, back, wings and tail, all similar to a robin. The difference is the breast was white instead of rusty orange and there was a striking white bar all along the tip if the tail. The size was similar to robins and they were in the grass like robins too. Sorry, no picture!
