(Cape Cod)

There is an all red bird with a gray head in our backyard on Cape cod. The beak is that of a cardinal. I keep thinking it's a grossbeak, but I cannot see any pictures that look similar. It looks as if the red feathers don't start until the neck. It's a little pudgier then a cardinal. and there is no crest. I think I saw a female that has red undertones with brownish gry feathers. I thought maybe a summer tanager, but the beak is shorter, more like a cardinal.Flys to lower trees and is back many times to the feeders.

Please help id it.

many thanks
