This bird is about the size of a pigeon.

It is a yellow/green colour with red did feathers and a red tail .

Hello,
From your description it sounds like a bird escaped from an aviary. Did you notice if it was ringed? If yes, you could perhaps place an ad that it's around so the owner can get it ot at least tell you what food to entice it with.
