school birds

There are two geese "visiting" our school campus in Southern California. I am wondering why they are here and not with their flock, and what kind of bird they are. Tried to look them up but haven't found anything like them on the web.

They have a mostly tan body (the one i think is the male is larger and has more white on its wings), darker brown on their wings, pink feet, dark brown around their eyes.

They are "ornamental" birds kept at zoos, farms, etc.
The link below should help.
