Rose Breasted Grosbeaks

by Lynn Cote
(Ashford, CT)

We have a had pair of Rose Breasted Grosbeaks visiting us (in Ashford, CT) for at least the last 4 years since I've been dedicated to feeding birds. The pair had been so wonderful to watch but unfortunately last year the female hit our window and died. The male disappeared. I was heartbroken. I am so excited that he returned today! Not sure if he has a new mate but am looking forward to seeing if he does. My mother, who lives next door, said a male and 2 females were at her feeder today. I guess time will tell!
