Rose Breasted Grosbeaks only for awhile

Female Grosbeak Enjoying breakfast
We live in Joplin, MO. Sorry that I didn't record exact dates but I believe about April 20, 2016, I built a tray feeder on about a four foot pole in the front yard. We put black oil sunflower seeds and safflour seeds in the tray along with crushed peanuts and cut up apples. We also had 4 different kinds of suet and nyger thistle as well as a millet feeder there.
One of our first customers around April 20th, was a male Rose breasted Grosbeak. He was eating sunflower seeds but the Safflour seeds were indeed his favorite of all. Within another week a female showed up. They were both there every single day and would stay on the feeder for a couple hours at times then they would leave and come back for more. Within 2 or 3 more days we were seeing 4 females and 4 males. They were here every single day and for an average of about 6 hours per day.
We loved our grosbeaks. They were not at all aggresive to any birds. They were beautiful to look at and nice quiet birds to be around. We could easily walk and talk within 15 feet of them and they would stay put. My wife and I talked to them every day from an open kitchen window.
Then, somewhere in the neighborhood of May 20 to may 25th, they disappeared. They were like here one day and gone the next. We miss our Grosbeaks and look every day hoping to see one in the feeder but they seem to be gone for now. It would be interesting to know where they went and why they left. We hope they show up one day, maybe next year.
Our photo's we didn't take very many because our camara is less than adequate but there are some attached anyway.
