Rose Breasted Grosbeaks in Southen Il. back yard.

by Barbara Dangbar
(Cobden Il. Union County)

We live in a small quaint village named Cobden Il. My husband and I have had bird feeders out year round for years and I cannot express enough how much we have enjoyed our feathered friends.
Especially the Rose Breasted Grosbeaks. Today is Easter Sunday and what a pleasant surprise seeing our first two come to the feeders today. We feed our birds. Blackoil sunflower seeds. Regular sunflower seeds and safflower. We are sad when the Grosbeaks leave us for the summer but look forward to their return next spring.
