rose breasted grosbeaks in Bridgeview

by Cathy

Have had rose breasted grosbeaks in my yard for 3 days now (May 7,8 and 9). It started with one male. Now today on May 9, 2011 I have 3 males and one female. I have a hopper feeder and a tube feeder on a shepherd hook with a tray. Both contain a seed mix with sunflower seed. The grosbeaks have been on and underneath both feeders. They are lovely and make a beautiful sound. I hope that they stay and breed here.
