Rose Breasted Grosbeak in New Ulm, Minnesota

by Laura
(New Ulm, MN)

Unfortunately, the Rose Breasted Grosbeak in my yard hit my window this morning. She was stunned badly and looked like her wing was in bad shape. But she shook it off and after about 15 minutes pulled her wing in and has since disappeared. I heard her yesterday, so knew she was here. Glad to see her again, but hope she's okay.

I have oil sunflower and safflower seeds in my hopper feeder and oranges on the ground.

Oranges on the ground
by: Anonymous

Hi,
What bird is eating the oranges? Are you getting any Orioles with the oranges on the ground?

Just curious

It is grey with a long beak and a white ring around it's neck. The bird is about the size of a dove and I live in Florida near the Georgia line.
