retired bird watcher

I get up early every morning to work out before work and my hubby gets up, makes coffee and looks out the window to spot palliateed woodpecker. I do have 3 suet feeders on thefence, but he spotted him in one of our trees. Coming home from work the next day, he saw 2 woodpeckers. We also have a suet feeder right outside of our garden window in the dining room and the red headed woodpecer, gray with red head I see often. Last year we had the whole family and that was awesome to see. I will soon have the summer off in hopes to see the paleated woodpeckers, i keep looking but have yet to see any. We live in new oxford pa along the conewago creek and have lots of wildlife. We often see gray and white herons flying down low along the water and that is beautiful to see, we occationally spot an eagle too. love our little spot of nature and sightings.
