Red cutie

It is small, with a red breast and head and brown body. It's too small to be a robin though... It has a seed beak, short and broad like a D but pointier on the ends. It might be some kind of finch, but im not sure. I saw it in Utah if that helps:)

Red Cutie
by: Brook

Yes, Your little red cutie sounds like it is a male house or purple finch. The difference between the two is the shade of red and the Purple finch has more of it.

National Geographic and AllAboutBirds.com has Bird ID.

House Finch
by: Judy-Seattle

It is probably a male House Finch or possibly a Purple Finch. Look for photos of these on the web to confirm its idenity.
